Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), is one of the public universities in Malaysia primarily focusing on Engineering and Technology. UTHM is strategically located in green sub-urban environment in Batu Pahat, Johor which is about 3 hours drive to Kuala Lumpur and 1.5 hours to Singapore via North-South Expressway (NSE).
Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) started off on 16 September 1993 as Polytechnic Staff Training Centre (Pusat Latihan Staf Politeknik (PLSP)). On 12th April 1996, the Education Minister had announced its name changed to Institut Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (ITTHO) as an acknowledgment for its contribution and excellence in overcoming the issue of human capital growth in the technical field in Malaysia.
Later on 30 September 2000, the Education Minister had announced on the appointment level of TTHO to Kolej Universiti Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (KUiTTHO). This recognization has brought up KUiTTO level to the same as other public higher education institution (IPTA) in Malaysia. On 1 February 2007, KuiTTO was rebranded to Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).
Currently, the university has more than 15,000 students including international students from 22 countries all over the world. The university has been awarded overall 3-star by QS Stars University Ratings with 5-Star in Teaching, Facilities and Innovation.

Note: If the Bachelor Degree is of the related field, other Master Degrees can also be considered.
