Sunway University is a private university based in Selangor, Malaysia, which is located approximately 16km from the centre of the city of Kuala Lumpur. Sunway University was established in 2004 as Sunway University College. It was upgraded by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education to full university status in January 2011 and became Sunway University. Sunway University is ranked at 751-800 in QS World University Rankings 2020, making it among the top 10 private university in Malaysia.
It has a 10 hectare (24 acre) campus comprising academic and residential blocks adjacent to the Sunway Lagoon theme park.
